Mrs. Vastie McMillian, the daughter of the late Elder Daughtry McRae and Missionary Mincey Smith McRae, was born July 07, 1937 in Laurens County, Georgia. She transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Friday, February 26 while in the Bryant Health Rehabilitation Center in Cochran, Georgia.
Mrs. Vastie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Vastie was a member of the New Shiloh Baptist Church of McRae, Georgia where she served as a dedicated member of the church senior choir. She also belonged to The Pilgrim Morning Star until her death.
She leaves to cherish her memories to a loving friend, Jasper Jones of McRae, GA; Three (3) sons; Lennie (Tina) McMillian of Dublin, Ireland, Daughtry (Crystal) McMillian of Alma, GA and Pastor Michael (Trena) McMillian of Abbeville, GA; A Godson, Pastor Michael “Sparkplug” Wesley, of McRae, GA; Three daughters; Joyce Turner of Abbeville, GA, Barbara McMillian of Tampa, FLA and Jeanette McMillian of McRae, Ga; Two Adopted daughters: Brittany Wilcox of McRae, GA and Chevelantae Adams Zanders (Xavies) of Eastman, GA; One brother, Alfred (Lois)McRae of Macon, GA; Three (3) sisters: Catherine (Jimmy) Burnette, Nelly Coney both of McRae, GA, and Lola Mae McRae of New Smyrna, FLA; Eighteen (18) grandchildren, thirty-two (32) great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She will definitely be missed by her church members and her fishing buddies.
