Tyrone Allen who peacefully passed away at home on December 03, 2023 was born in Helena, Ga to Johnnie and Ella Mae Allen. He began his educational journey at Telfair County School, and spiritual journey as a lifelong member of Centilla Baptist Church where he laid the foundation for a life dedicated to service.
Follow his passion for service. Tyrone enlisted in the Army, embodying the values of duty and honor. After his military service, he pursued higher education at Mercer university, where he further honed his skills and expanded his knowledge.
Tyrone’s commitment to making a positive impact led him to a career as a corrections officer, where he served with distinction. His education extended beyond the confines of the correctional system as he later transitioned into a role as a counselor, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the rehabilitation and well-being of others.
In his passing, Tyrone is preceded in death by his loving parents and dear brother Kelvin Allen and Sister Sandra Carter. May they all find eternal peace.
Tyrone is survived by his devoted wife who he found lasting companionship with on July 26. 2003, Betty Allen. Cherished by his children: Marcus Allen, Helena Allen, Monica Stafford – Payne (Kendall), Angela Allen, Tyrone Allen Jr., William Stafford (Daniella), Stephen Stafford ( Amanda) and Katarius Allen. He leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grand children who will deeply miss their beloved papa; Brothers: Clifford Allen Sr., Earl Allen Sr., Lester Allen (Gladys), Stephen Allen ( Renita); Sisters: Johnnie Mae Allen Foye and Judy Maxine Allen Lucas (Calvin) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
His memory will continue to live on the hearts of the generations he touched with love and warmth. He will be remembered fondly by friends, colleagues, and those whose lives he touched along the way.
May he rest in peace, and may his memory inspire us to continue the path of service and compassion that he so admirably walked during his time with us.
