Obituary
Howard Mortuary officially announces the passing of Mrs. Teressa “ Mama T” Blackshear (103) of McRae, Georgia. Mrs. Blackshear slipped into her eternal rest at her daughter's residence in Macon, GA on January 5, 2022. Just celebrating her 103rd birthday last month, “Mama Tee” as she was so affectionately called, was the oldest resident of Telfair County. She was known for her good cooking and sweet singing voice. Songs such as “I’ll Make it Somehow”, “Just Jesus” and “Just When I Need Him Most” were among her popular selections.
Mama T will be missed by her family, friends and the entire community. She left her mark on this world and we are grateful to God to have had this jewel for 103 beautiful years.
Funeral arrangements are forthcoming and will be announced at a later date.
