Joyce Sanders

Joyce Kay Sanders was born on January 20, 1954, in Telfair County. She went to sleep in death on November 11, 2021, at the age of 67.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Jewel McArthur, father, Roosevelt Wright, two brothers, Walter Anderson, Jr. and Ricky Wright.

Joyce Kay attended Central Elementary & High School and was a graduate of the Telfair County High Class of 1972. She was employed at Husqvarna as audit inspector for twenty plus years. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses July 30, 1971.

Joyce Kay is survived by her husband Kenneth Sanders of McRae-Helena; One son, Carlos McCrimmon of McRae-Helena; Three (3) God children: Starkeela McMillian, Paris McMillian and Kelvin Barnes III all of McRae-Helena; Three (3) stepchildren: Shanae Lundy, Kelly Sanders and Dawan Sanders; Four (4) sisters: Sebrina Wright, Joan (Fred) Pettigrew, both of Warner Robins, Ga, Cynthia Batten and Patricia (Dwight) Hamilton, both of McRae-Helena, Ga; Mother-in-law, Lillian (Charles) Willis of Hazlehurst, Ga; Father-in-law, Charles G. Sanders of Hazlehurst, Ga;  Two (2) sisters-in-law: Geraldine Sanders of Hazlehurst, Ga and Christy Sanders of Vidalia, Ga; Two (2) brothers-in-law: James Williams of Alamo, Ga. and Garrett Sanders of Douglas, Ga; One aunt, Lula Mae (Oscar) McRae of McRae-Helena; Two special cousins: Betty Ann Sheets and Shirley Allen; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Joyce Kay will surely be missed by all who knew her and loved her.
