Hallie McRae Jr. was born on February 13, 1931, in Cedar Park, GA to the late Hallie and Pearl McRae of Lumber city, Georgia. He departed his life on February 28, 2021. Early in his life he owned McRae logging company and prospered for many years. He enjoyed being with family, playing basketball in his younger years and cruising timber in his latter years.
Hallie was preceded in death by his wife, Lannie Mae Edwards-McRae and (12) siblings; Beulah Mae, Willard “Buck”, Oscar, Robert, Nealie, Willie Ann, Geneva, Eli, Ernestine, Ben, Floyd, and Carrie.
Hallie leaves to cherish his loving memories to his devoted children: James (Tabitha) McRae of Helena, GA, Bobby (LaToya) McRae of Douglas GA and Cecelia (Talmadge) McRae of McRae, GA; One sister, Charly Ann Parker of Alabama and one brother, George B. McRae of Decatur, GA.; Three step children: Bobbie (Johnny) Dixon of Alamo, GA, Jessie (Wayne) Griggs of Eastman, GA and Junior (Hattie Pearl) Griggs of Fitzgerald, GA; One sister-in-law, Sylvia Smith of McRae, GA and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; As well as a very special friend, Dennis Aikens and God son, Stacy Chambers.
