Gary Moore was born on September 17, 1962 in McRae, GA to Geraldine George and Herman Lee Moore. He was educated in the Wheeler County School System and graduated from Wheeler County High School in 1981. After graduating, Gary relocated to West Palm Beach, FL where he was employed at Cheney Bros. Distribution. He returned to Alamo in the early 90s and went on to work at Hazelhurst Mills, Georgia Pacific and Easter Seals over the years. Gary enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was loved by all. Many hearts have been touched by his warm smile, cheerful personality, and infectious laugh.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Lee Moore; second mother, Carolyn Hamilton; brother Herman Lawrence Moore; five uncles: Chester Moore, David Moore, Wilbert Moore, Leonard George, and Collis George.
To celebrate his life and cherish his memory are: his parents James and Geraldine Weaver; his son: Everette (Letoya) Gibson of Soperton, GA; two brothers: Alphonso Wooten of Milledgeville, GA and Toney Wooten of Tampa, FL; four sisters: Cynthia Tobler of McRae-Helena, GA; Gwenevere Hentz of Helena, GA; Raida (Sam) Zanders of Helena, GA; Veleka (Vernon) White of Tampa, FL; aunt: Lula McRae of McRae-Helena, GA; four uncles: Columbus George of Alamo, GA; Eugene George of Wrightsville, GA, John (Trip) George of Alamo, GA; James George of Alamo, GA; grandmother: Mamie George of Alamo, GA; great uncle: Roscoe (Martha) Powell of Jacksonville, FL; five grandchildren: Meyonna Gibson, Everette Gibson, Jr., Eva Gibson, Eve Gibson, and Elijah Gibson; special friends: Hazel Victoria, Maurice Davis, and Michael Kinsey; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
