Our loving Derrico Lyray Madison, Sr. (43) of Helena, Georgia was called to his eternal home on December 28, 2020. He was born May 23, 1977 in Bibb County to Glenda and Willie Clark.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Clark; father, Willie Clark; aunt, Josephine Madison; grandparents, Henry & Mamie Clark, Joseph & Rosa Lee Madison; and niece, Jasmine Kimbreyetta Madison.
Rico was educated in Telfair County School system. He was a hard worker who loved all these he came into contact with. He never met a stranger. He would always try to make any situation better if he could. He was a music lover and loved spending time with family and friends
At his time of illness, he was working with ABS Landscaping. He dedicated his life to learning more about God and bettering his relationship with God. Once he got sick his new saying became “It’s better to be alive than to be tired.” Chemo and radiation had him physically drained, but he always kept his spirit high. He was always thanking God for the good and the bad and reminded his family to do the same.
Derrico is survived by his wife, Kristi Madison; mother, Glenda Clark (Lil Mama); eight children: Daequan Williams, Elijah Harvey, Derrico Madison, Jr., Miracle Madison, Malik Madison, Derionna Madison, Yaz’Mina Madison, and Derrick Williams; Siblings: Dawn (Johnny) and Shawn Madison, Gregory Woodard, Lakeesha Madison, Willie Clark, Jr. Milton King, Venson (Melissa) Madison, Bernice Clark, Cynthia (Freddie) Mincey, Terrica Clark, Keith Clark, Latasha Clark, Anthony Mapp and Jessica King; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; special friends: Troy and Louise.
