Charles Henry Pound, a.k.a “Potlicker” was born January 29, 1945 in Dodge County to the late John Henry and Mary Francis Pound. He was called home to rest in the arms of God on Thursday morning January 7, 2021.
He attended Peabody High School in Eastman Georgia. He worked for AYP in McRae Georgia for 30 plus years. He was a faithful member of Centilla Missionary Baptist Church until his health declined.
He is preceded in death by his wife Ocie Pound, son-John Henry, granddaughter-Nalacia Pound, brothers-John Allen, Melvin Pound, Todd Pound and sister-Rena Harvey.
Charles Pound leaves to cherish his memories two daughters; Carrie Tanner (Marcovetchi) of Mount Vernon, GA and Sandra Pound of Alamo, GA; Three (3) sons: Charles Lamont Pound of Alamo, Ga, Claude Lamar Pound (Latricia) of Glenwood, GA and Terrill Studstill of Atlanta, GA; Five (5) brothers: Cleveland Pound (Inez), Carlton Pound (Lula), Herman Pound (Ellen), Nelson Pound (Mary Ellen) all McRae, GA, and Larry Pound of Philadelphia, PA; One sister, Jerita Pound of McRae, GA; Four (4) Sister in laws; Ernestine Pound of McRae, GA, Ann Pound of Eastman, GA, Shirley Lee (Claude) of Scotland, GA and Jewel Tyson of Ocilla, GA; One brother in law-James Ryals (Nell) of Atlanta, GA; Twenty grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
