Charles Lamont Pound

Charles Lamont Pound, a.k.a “Mont” was born January 23, 1978 in Telfair County to the parentage of the late Charles Henry and Ocie Dean Pound. He was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning, May 31, 2023.

Charles was always full of life, bringing laughter and joy to those around him. He was a people person, and never met a stranger. He was employed throughout his life in the trucking industry. He loved his family and expressed that love frequently. He attended school in the Wheeler County School System, graduating in the Class of 1997.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Nalacia Pound, his parents,  and brother John Henry Pound.

Charles Pound leaves to cherish his great and fond memories two daughters, Kishaunna Destiny Pound of Warner Robins, GA and Izona NeShae Pound of Surrency, GA; One  son, Tamius Davanta Pound of Hazlehurst, GA; One step-daughter, Ashley Peeples (Stephen) of Glenwood, GA; Four Grandchildren, Destiny Hicks, Quantavious Hicks Jr., Ashton Hicks, and Jaxson Peeples; Two sisters, Carrie Tanner (Marcovetchi) of Mount Vernon, GA and Sandra Pound of Alamo, GA ;Two brothers, Claude Pound of Alamo, GA and Terrill Studstill of Atlanta, G;  Aunts and Uncles, Shirley Lee (Claude) of Alamo, GA,  Jewell Tyson of Ocilla, GA, James Ryals (Nell) of Atlanta, GA, Ann Pound of Eastman, GA,  Jerita Pound, Ernestine Pound, Cleveland Pound (Inez), Carlton Pound (Lula), Herman Pound (Ellen), Nelson Pound (Mary Ellen) all of McRae, GA, and Larry Pound of Philadelphia, PA; A host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
